What's going on here?
Here at RandomForecast.com, we make fun of predicting the weather. We take the average weather information for the month of the year, apply a little variance to it, and get a randomly generated forecast. Odds are that it's not too far off from the real thing, but that's not important. We're not trying to be meteorologists. We're trying to have fun at the expense of meteorology.
Where do the numbers come from?
Our numbers are based off of weather averages for west central Indiana, where we're located. In time, we hope to add in more locations, but for now, you just get Indiana. It's not like it really matters anyway.
Don't like weathermen?
Not at all! We're sure a great many of them are honest, hardworking people. Most of them seem very enthusiastic about their jobs. We just happen to think that you could guess and probably get pretty close most of the time.
What's next for the site?
Lotsa stuff! Stuff like this!
- We're always playing with the weather prediction algorithm in an effort to make it more accurate and do away with meteorology once and for all.
- We'd like to expand our coverage area, naturally, to something relevant to more than just the sixty thousand people in our vaguely-metropolitan area.
- We're going to have an official, static random forecast for each day, with the ability to generate your own if you don't like it.
Rest assured, we're working tirelessly to take care of all of your phony, made-up weather forecast needs!
You're horrible.
Oh, come on. It's all a joke. Just take it easy, stop pretending that you've never made fun of meteorology, and have a little fun with it.
